SEN Teaching Assistant

Reed Education is recruiting a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in South London from September.
The school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties. The successful candidate will work within a calm, relationship-based environment where consistency, patience, and child-centred support are key.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
* Support learning, emotional regulation, and engagement throughout the school day
* Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and behaviour strategies
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff
* Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or youth settings)
* Be calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
