Main duties of the job
To support the finance department in the day to day provision of financial, budgeting, purchasing, service line reporting and associated systems to the Trust

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
1. To provide first line support to users for system administration related queries and requests for training.
2. To assist in the day to day tasks of maintaining the financial and procurement systems, providing support to the users, ensuring system security and data integrity is kept.
3. To report and extract data from the Trusts financial system both routinely and on an ad hoc basis, using available reporting packages with possible further analysis in Microsoft Excel.
4. To support the delivery of any upgrades/projects managed by the Projects Senior Lead and play an active role in the implementation of finance systems.
5. To assist in system and process reviews to ensure systems are fully exploited in the delivery of an effective, efficient and high quality financial management and accounting service to users.
6. To liaise with users to assess operational requirements and problems, and to assess training needs, and the delivery of appropriate solutions.
7. Liaise with members of the department to provide information and perform system processes to deadlines.
8. Feedback to Financial Controller and Projects Senior Lead regularly on progress and any issues in day to day tasks.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
9. Minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grades A-C (9-4) including maths and English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
10. Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 or equivalent
11. Working towards an Accountancy/Business Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
12. Experience/background in working with finance systems
13. Experienced user of MS Excel
Desirable criteria
14. An understanding of the impact of other finance sections on the financial reports and of accounting procedures within the NHS
