WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE A CUSTOMER SERVICE ADMINSTRATOR.
ELB Metalworks are based St Mark Street, Hull. We are a growing fabrication and engineering business specialising in bespoke and batch-produced metal work. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit.
The main role is to administrate accurately the full customer process from orders received, material planning, issuing job documentation, and despatch/invoicing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and process customer orders
- Ensure contract requirements are reviewed and confirmed prior to order acceptance
- Issue order acknowledgements confirming scope, pricing, and delivery requirements
- Input orders received into the production plans – working with technical to highlight new products to be manufactured
- Plan material requirements in line with production schedules, raising and manage purchase orders using approved suppliers only
- Track deliveries and ensure materials are correctly allocated to each job
- For purchases report shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues in line with nonconformance procedures
- Create and issue controlled job packs including approved drawings, BOMs, job sheets, and inspection documentation
- Working with the technical team to ensure only current and approved documented information is issued to production
- Prepare delivery notes and supporting documentation
- Raise accurate sales invoices in accordance with contractual requirements
- Support resolution of any delivery or invoicing discrepancies
- Assist with corrective actions arising from customer feedback or nonconformances
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in customer service or sales administration within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
-Proficient in Excel and Microsoft packages
Desirable:
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings to identify materials desired but not essential
-Knowledge of fabrication materials and processes
