What's involved with this role: Job Title: Housing Repairs Coordinator Ref: Bristol 5276192 Pay rate: £15.38 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 12 months Working hours: Working hours will be scheduled on a rota to cover business requirements between 8am and 6pm Working arrangements: Hybrid position requiring flexibility, as managers will advise when team members can work from home to ensure full training and business needs are met The role: We are seeking a proactive and organised Housing Repairs Coordinator to join the team on a maternity cover basis, with the possibility of a permanent role. Working hours will be scheduled on a rota to cover business requirements between 8am and 6pm. Some training will be delivered remotely via Teams, so we are looking for someone who can quickly adapt, requires minimal training, and is ready to hit the ground running. Key responsibilities: Receive and respond to customer/stakeholder enquiries, in line with council policies and procedures always providing excellent customer service To accurately raise reported repairs and prioritise in line with agreed timescales, ensuring policies and procedures are followed Ensure that repair requests are allocated, planned, and scheduled effectively to maximise the use of resources and completed “right first-time” Pro-actively monitor the progression of allocated jobs throughout the day and communicating with operatives, surveyors, and customers to ensure the timely completion of works Ensure operatives have acceptably completed repairs using their mobile devices and give feedback to trade managers and supervisors if there are any issues Provide information, advice and guidance to customers, contractors and colleagues who have repairs enquiries Make outbound contact to customers/stakeholders as required and make enquiries on behalf of customers/stakeholders and arrange appointments To effectively and appropriately, liaise with contractors Assist in the day-to-day delivery of frontline customer services to colleagues, members of the public, elected members, contractors and other directorate customers in accordance with the council’s core values and the key performance indicators Coordinate a complex area of Administration or Business Support work. Take ownership and responsibility for end-to-end processes and assist in the development & delivery of day-to-day operational business and/or projects including taking a minor role in projects or pieces of work to ensure that all learning is effectively applied and adapted to the job and that the division’s plans and targets are achieved What the client is looking for: Previous experience in a similar role Capable of providing excellent customer service in line with council policies Excellent communication skills Excellent administrative and organisational skills Skilled at accurately raising, prioritising, and allocating repair requests Able to monitor job progress and communicate effectively with operatives, surveyors, customers, and contractors Experienced in liaising with contractors and making outbound customer contact Able to coordinate complex administrative or business support tasks and take ownership of end-to-end processes Proficient IT skills How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
