Secondary Teaching Assistant

Full time – 1 year maternity cover with the potential to be made permanent

Term Time Contract – 32.5 hours per week

Working Pattern 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday

Actual salary per annum H3 - £19,300

Required for December 2025

Samuel Ryder Academy is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support in the secondary phase of the school. However, all Teaching Assistants may be required to work across both phases.

We are looking for practitioners with high expectations of pupil achievement and progress.

We are looking for applicants who put the experience of the child at the heart of their practice; someone eager to extend children's learning and makes learning fun.

The successful candidates would set themselves high personal standards and be eager to develop professionally to support the schools' creative curriculum approach to learning.

The existence of a criminal background does not automatically mean that you cannot be appointed but it may do so
