Children's Social Worker - Referral and Assessment (GEORGIA) Bolton, England
Our client Bolton council is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join their Referral and Assessment team.
Based in the Assessment Team in Castle Hill, working across the borough.
Salary: GBP 37 – GBP 37 per hour.
Experience of working in a referral and assessment team and familiarity with statutory processes is required.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking home visits to gather information to establish any safeguarding concern and conduct initial child/family needs assessments.
* Managing s47 enquiries, including coordination of statutory meetings and closing s47 when no further action or concern is needed.
* Providing short‑term interventions, liaising and passing case assessment/referrals to other teams when progressed.
* Working within the Courts, taking statutory action when necessary to protect a child, including Emergency Protection Order applications and initiation of Care Proceedings.
* Duty rota cover – front line social work.
