They have had a strong 2025 and have recently had investment to scale across Europe & North America, the new CEO is someone I know really well. They are now hiring a Senior Medical Writer to report into a fantastic Associate Scientific Director and work with the Commercial Director as they expand this exciting division.
Here's some more details on the business:
* They are fully remote and are based across the US and Europe
* Trust me they have some very exciting plans within this division and you will want to be part of this!
* Salary between £50-55k with some flexibility for the right person
* Very strong benefits like healthcare, bonus, strong pension, gym membership and 25 days annual leave plus
* I've worked with this business for 10 years and they have really honed and worked hard to create a great culture.
The team is building out its Data Maps capability, but new hires may need to split their time between Data Maps and traditional MedComms work initially, with the split depending on workload and your preferences.
The ideal candidate should have experience with platforms, systematic literature reviews, and an analytical mindset, as well as digital curiosity. Traditional medical writing skills alone are not sufficient. We emphasise the need for an experienced SMW who can independently drive projects, coach junior team members, and take ownership. The candidate should be analytical, methodological, comfortable with systematic literature reviews, familiar with good publication practice and PRISMA, able to liaise with clients about data visualization, and interested in AI or automation.
The scope of work covers both medical affairs and commercial needs, with data ranging from phase 1 to real-world evidence. The candidate must be able to distill complex publications into concise insights and be comfortable with digital tools. Coding is not required, but familiarity with tools like Python and HTML, and the ability to communicate with developers, is helpful.
The team currently includes the ASD, Commercial Director, SAM, GAD and MWs who split their time between Data Maps and other work. The goal is for writers to spend about 50% of their time on Data Maps, with this percentage expected to increase. This is a new role and the technical side is supported by a data science manager and a junior but we are expandind this too.
I've worked with this business for 10 years and they have really honed and worked hard to create a great culture.
