We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our dynamic Surgical Assessment Ward team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will play a crucial role in assessing, managing, and coordinating the care of surgical patients.
As a Band 6 Nurse, you will lead clinical practice, support junior staff, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

Responsibilities
* Lead clinical practice on the Surgical Assessment Ward and support junior nursing staff.
* Take on ward management duties in the absence of the Ward Manager, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making skills.
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients requiring assessment and short-term management.
* Work closely with the SAU to facilitate smooth patient transfers and optimise patient flow.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
* Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and maintain patient safety and quality standards.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives on the ward.
