PART TIME CLIENT CARE ADVISOR
We are currently seeking an additional part‑time client care advisor to join our friendly and dynamic client care team.
Veterinary Client Care Advisors do much more than answer the phone! As the first point of contact for our clients, you can be welcoming a puppy one minute and comforting an owner who has lost their pet the next. We are looking for an outgoing, positive and articulate individual who is a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ideal candidate must be a client‑focused individual who can demonstrate an aptitude for multi‑tasking and will ideally possess previous reception experience. This role does not involve animal handling, although a love for animals goes without saying: you must also show willingness to learn, proficient IT skills and an excellent telephone manner. This is a busy, challenging and diverse role with no two days the same; so we are looking for a good sense of humour, not being afraid to get your hands dirty and the ability to keep calm under pressure!
Vets for Pets Amesbury is a standalone, small animal practice, with approachable, supportive partners and a fabulous team of vets, nurses and client care advisors. The client care team is overseen by our Client Services Manager and Practice Administrator who guide the team to operate to the highest of standards whilst also ensuring job satisfaction and an excellent work life balance.
Responsibilities
* Managing and dealing with appointment bookings in a professional and efficient manner using the in‑practice database system.
* Receiving clients and their pets for appointments, being sensitive to their needs and promoting a professional image at all times.
* Developing product knowledge and advising where necessary in line with company protocols.
* Working within a team to ensure the reception and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
* Showing an awareness of financial controls within the practice, including banking.
Position will cover 20‑25 hrs/week, typically split between morning and afternoon shifts, with Saturday mornings on a shared rota.
Qualifications
* Outgoing, positive, and articulate individual with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Team player capable of multi‑tasking.
* Previous reception experience preferred.
* Proficient in IT and with an excellent telephone manner.
* Willingness to learn, sense of humour, calm under pressure, and a love for animals.
