Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Job Location: Frampton Cotterell
Salary: £29,494.40 based on 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Sleep-in Allowance: An additional £6,183 per year, based on completing 10 sleep-in shifts per month

Responsibilities
* Assisting the manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections.
* Supporting children to have the best quality of life possible through activities at home, on days out, or holidays; ensuring healthy diets and engaging experiences (e.g., baking, outings, excursions).
* Ensuring our children are kept safe and that their plans are suitable for their needs; monitoring development by keeping systems and records up to date; completing required training.
* Taking part in the on-call rota, averaging 1 on-call per week; eligible for an additional allowance.
Qualifications and skills
* Patience, compassion, and resilience; ability to support children who may have experienced trauma.
* Great communication skills, both verbal and written, for updating children’s plans and working with diverse stakeholders.
* Driving licence; ability to drive children to activities and appointments.
* Flexibility; ability to sleep at the home during shifts; capacity to work a full week in 2-3 days.
* Ideally hold a qualification in residential childcare; if not, ability to obtain one within the first 2 years of working in the sector (training and funding provided).
