We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company in Chard. 🔩 Key Responsibilities
1. Operate press brake machinery to bend, shape and form metal components
2. Set up machines, including tooling and adjustments, for specific jobs
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings to achieve required tolerances
4. Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
5. Maintain equipment for safe and efficient operation
6. Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets
7. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
🛠️ Requirements
8. Previous experience operating and setting up press brake machines preferred (training available for the right candidate)
9. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements
10. Engineering background essential
11. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
13. Good communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach
14. Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
📅 Working Hours
15. Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
16. Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
