Senior Machine Learning Engineer

A product led scale up building a platform used across multiple customer journeys. Machine learning and software development sit together inside core product engineering. Systems run in production on AWS, supporting real time decisions, recommendations, and automated workflows.
You own machine learning and development across the platform. You take product problems and turn them into end to end solutions, from data and model design through to backend services and production deployment. You decide how systems are built, how models integrate into services, and how both evolve over time.
This role sits inside engineering, not research. The focus is building production systems that are stable, scalable, and maintainable. You work across both application code and ML models, making sure they operate as one system in live environments.
Core stack sits around:
* Python
* AWS
* ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
* SQL
* CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release
You move across development and machine learning work daily. One part of the week focuses on model design, training, and evaluation. Another part focuses on backend services, APIs, and system integration. You also shape data pipelines and make decisions on architecture and performance.
The business looks for someone who understands full lifecycle delivery across both software and machine learning. From data and code, through to deployment and monitoring in production systems. Strong engineering capability matters as much as ML knowledge
This role suits someone operating at senior or principal level who wants ownership across both machine learning and development in a live product environment. You influence architecture, standards, and how intelligent systems are built end to end.
