We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Downview, a Category C women's prison. Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Supervisor you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, to cleaners, and administrators, and others, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Qualifications and Experience
* Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
* Experience of supervising staff
* Full driving licence – preferably with D1
* C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
* Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 18th Edition
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Future Plans
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider (no sooner than August 2027).
