Service Engineer
Location: Essex - 50% Hockley workshop-based, 50% International/National travel
Salary: Negotiable, with potential to earn more through travel; 40 hours per week
Company: Join a well-known, emerging manufacturing firm specializing in designing, building, and installing machinery for FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, and other industries. Due to growth, they seek an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Engineer.
Role Overview: The Field Service Engineer will travel to customer sites to install, commission, maintain, repair, and service equipment. The role involves national and international travel, with base at the Hockley workshop when not on site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical assembly and testing of machinery and systems.
2. Assembly of sub-assemblies.
3. Fault-finding and repairs.
4. Final inspections of machinery pre- and post-installation.
5. Coordinate with planning teams on parts, project timelines, and deadlines.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in a similar mechanical/electrical manufacturing role.
* Mechanical assembly and build skills.
* Electrical wiring skills are advantageous.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 50% of the time.
* Engineering apprenticeship completion or relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
* Knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
