We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a vibrant school community in Watford, working within a welcoming and supportive team in their year 3 class. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate young learners in a modern and dynamic environment. You will be working alongside an experienced year group partner in this 2 form-entry school, with a range of specialists and full-time SENCo to support you with ensuring all learners in your class are able to flourish!
Responsibilities as the KS2 teacher:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Key Stage 2 students
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development
4. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child
5. Implement school policies and procedures effectively, fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment
6. Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events to contribute to the school community
Requirements of the KS2 class teacher:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PCGE etc.)
8. Experience working with Key Stage 2 students preferred, but EQTs are welcome to apply
9. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
10. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
11. Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children
