Job Description
Building Surveying Leadership Opportunity - Liverpool
Senior Partner-level role within a national multidisciplinary consultancy
Liverpool (hybrid working)
Full time | Permanent
There is a senior Building Surveying leadership opportunity within the Liverpool office of a well-established, national multidisciplinary consultancy, arising from the continued growth and evolution of the business.
The firm is in a period of sustained expansion, supported by significant private investment, strategic acquisitions, and a clearly defined long-term vision. As part of this trajectory, the Liverpool office is being positioned as a key regional platform, with Building Surveying identified as a core discipline for further development and senior leadership.
This opportunity will be of particular interest to Directors/Partners or Associate Directors who are considering their next strategic move and are motivated by finding the right platform with momentum and influence, rather than an incremental progression.
The context
The consultancy operates as a fully integrated, multidisciplinary practice with a strong national footprint and a reputation for technical quality and long-standing client relationships. The business is financially robust, well-capitalised, and actively investing in people, systems and capability to support its next phase of growth.
Building Surveying plays a central role across a broad range of sectors including residential and housing, education, healthcare, commercial, public sector, defence, and specialist advisory work. The Liverpool office benefits from both strong local relationships and access to national clients and frameworks.
The leadership opportunity
The role sits at Salaried Partner level and carries genuine responsibility for the Building Surveying capability in Liverpool.
The position encompasses:
* Senior leadership of building surveying services in the region
* Oversight of client relationships and fee development
* Team leadership, mentoring and succession planning
* Contribution to regional and national strategy for the discipline
* Continued technical involvement, oversight and quality assurance
* Active collaboration with other disciplines and senior leaders across the business
This is not a symbolic title or a holding position. It is a substantive leadership role within a growing regional office, supported by an established national platform.
The individual
The individual best suited to this opportunity will be a commercially astute, client-facing Chartered Building Surveyor with the credibility to operate comfortably at Partner level.
Typical characteristics include:
* MRICS Chartered status
* Senior consultancy experience within the North West or a comparable regional market
* A proven track record of leading teams, managing client relationships and generating work
* Broad technical Building Surveying capability and sound professional judgement
* A collaborative leadership style aligned with a people-focused culture
This opportunity is likely to appeal to someone who feels they have outgrown their current role, or who wants to align with a business that is actively investing in growth rather than managing legacy structures.
The proposition
The role offers:
* A highly competitive Partner-level remuneration package, including bonus and car allowance
* Genuine influence and autonomy within a well-supported national business
* Access to high-quality, varied work across multiple sectors
* A clear long-term pathway aligned with the firm’s growth plans
* Hybrid working and a professional, collaborative environment
