Job Purpose
We are seeking a well-qualified and inspiring Tutor of French to join our established, collaborative, and supportive Languages department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach French A Literature to native speakers within the IB Diploma Programme. A passion for French literature and a desire to share this enthusiasm with students are essential, with a focus on promoting high standards of learning. The applicant must be completely fluent in French at a native speaker level and educated to degree level or equivalent.
Key responsibilities include:
* Employing diverse teaching and assessment strategies to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons focused on student progress.
* Setting high expectations and appropriate work pace to challenge all pupils effectively.
* Reflecting on teaching practices, engaging with current educational developments, and seeking professional growth opportunities.
* Identifying and supporting students with learning difficulties and seeking further advice when necessary.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Experience teaching French literature.
* Experience using ICT in the classroom and the ability to share that knowledge with colleagues.
