About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Care Practitioner/Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ECP/ENP) to join our dynamic healthcare team at Lewes Urgent Treatment Centre. The role is for one full time vacancy and one part time.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Clinical and Professional Leadership, ensuring robust governance for staff within the designated area or service.
* Ensure that staff maintain clinical competence and that services are delivered with clinical effectiveness, safety, and an exceptional patient experience.
* Work centrally in the development of the Urgent Treatment Centre and its education and training needs.
* Serve as a pro‑active role model for the Unit in terms of clinical, education, and general management quality standards and act as the nurse professional team leader.
* Triage, assess and treat patients presenting to the Units, following local, national and NICE guidelines.
* Provide assessments for patients presenting with either an injury or illness, requiring an existing qualification in either area.
* Exercise sound, autonomous clinical assessment and treatment skills and determine appropriate redirection of inappropriate attendances.
* Be integral to the team and contribute to the overall running of the Units, including management of other staff, support with education or training needs, and daily supervision.
Qualifications
* Existing qualification in either injury or illness.
* Clinical competence and knowledge of local, national, and NICE guidelines for urgent care.
