PepsiCo R&D is looking for R&D Food Data Analyst in Life Sciences team to join on 12 months FTC role in Leicester (other possible location is Reading).

Our team partners closely with other Research & Development functions to deliver science-based health & nutrition insights and guidance to our businesses.
We’re seeking a Scientist to support the Global Foods & Beverages businesses. This position will support the support the interpretation and analysis of our global portfolio as it relates to portfolio transformation, and Sustainability metrics. You’ll help enable the organization to make informed business decisions on health and wellness related opportunities and issues.
Responsibilities
1. Govern product data collection process, utilising data governance principles to manage large data sets
2. Understand available data sources and how these integrate with each other
3. Lead analyses to support various internal workstreams, including Pep+ Reporting, Nutrient Profiling Analyses as well as competitive assessments. Develop reports and/or recommendations based on data collected.
4. Interpret, understand and evaluate Regulatory, Sustainability & Nutrient Profiling criteria and identify business relevance. Partner with Technical Lead to implement automated complex data interpretation.
5. Monitoring & auditing team workings / outputs for accuracy and relevance
6. Guide portfolio transformation reporting through support of internal governance process, tracking, and providing guidance on renovation and new product innovation to R&D partners.
7. Review reporting criteria to ensure accuracy with the respective guidelines.
8. Network internally and influence highly matrix teams to achieve success. Internal audiences include, regulatory, marketing, product development, platform transformation leads and GBS.
Qualifications
9. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition Science, Food Science or a closely related field
10. Data analytics and complex data interpretation experience required
11. Project management skills to effectively drive a complex project and excellent presentation skills (written & verbal) and ability to effectively communicate with senior colleagues
12. Detail oriented and organized
13. Ability to develop successfu working relationships with cross-functional partners in a highly matrixed environment, achieve trusted advisor relationships with cross-functional peers to navigate complex projects demands
14. Effective time management and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic R&D community environment
15. Proactive in bringing new ideas and recommendations to the team or the organization (innovating) to improve processes, work environment, and collaboration.
16. Flexible and comfortable with change; ability to balance need to deliver against aggressive business timelines with excellence.
