An exciting opportunity has arisen due to the opening of 2 new modular wards at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The successful candidate will work within the medical team (known as MERRIT) to provide highly specialist therapy to the medical wards. The team consists of other occupational therapists, physiotherapists and therapy support workers.
All of our Occupational Therapists receive supervision and mentorship from a member of our highly specialist team who will offer direction in terms of clinical and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities
As clinical lead, you will work closely with the therapy team manager to support and develop the strong and flourishing team. You will be responsible for clinical leadership and support to the team in the form of appraisal and supervision. You will also act as an expert resource to the wider therapy team.
The post holder will be responsible for a personal clinical caseload of complex patients. You will also be required to have in depth understanding and experience of working within this area. Band 6 experience in an acute setting is essential.
Working Hours
The working hours for this post will be 37.5 hours per week – over 5 working days which will include a weekend rota commitment.
