Position Overview
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the controller to maximize the operational availability of our equipment. Your mission? To ensure timely and efficient routine and preventative maintenance servicing and machine inspections. You’ll be the safety ambassador, promoting a secure environment for both yourself and our customers.
What You'll Do
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Conduct routine servicing of equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines, including taking routine oil samples (75%)
* Machine Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical analyses of machine conditions, identifying potential issues with systems and components (20%)
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs identified during inspections, install telematic systems, and conduct undercarriage inspections (5%)
Your Qualifications
* Basic knowledge of key product elements: Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics
* Direct experience (around 3 years) in a related engineering function, such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, or Agricultural Engineer
* Formal apprenticeship qualification (C&G level 1) is a plus
* Health & Safety training is desirable but not essential; we provide further training!
Working Conditions
This is a field-based role, so a full driving license (held for at least 2 years) is essential. You’ll work 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, Monday to Friday, and one Saturday every three weeks at an overtime rate.
