Live in Care / Personal Assistant for A Sports Student at Uni
We have an amazing opportunity to become a Personal Assistant to a university student studying Sport and Exercise Science at Southampton Solent. Our client has Cerebral Palsy and is an avid sports fan, participating in various disability sports and following Arsenal matches. You will support her with daily life at university and beyond.
Pay & Hours
* £180 per day / £1,260 per week
* Rota: 7 days on / 7 days off
* Free accommodation on shift
* 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
* Start date: ASAP
* Location: Southampton Solent University, SO14 0YN

Our client is a 2‑year‑old student who enjoys playing Boccia and other disability sports, exploring music festivals, and spending time with family. The role involves more than care work – it includes social outings, parties, holidays, and assisting with sports events.
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Comfortable driving a wheelchair‑accessible vehicle
* Good organisational and administrative skills
* Patient, caring, calm, and humorous
* Good communication skills and fluent in English
* Clean appearance and tidy mannerisms
* Willingness to undergo screening, past employer checks, and an Enhanced Disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service
Duties
* Personal care, study and social support
* Coordinate with the team to report and follow up on issues during shifts
* Assist with administrative tasks as required
* Support in emergency evacuations in halls, as instructed by the halls manager
* Encourage participation in clubs, activities, and societies
* Maintain good order, appearance, and behaviour
* Assist in organising events and extra‑curricular activities
Care experience is not required; full training will be provided.
