SHEQ Advisor

Our client is a leading construction specialist with a strong reputation for delivering projects that prioritise safety, health, quality, sustainability, and innovation. They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic SHEQ Advisor to join their fast-paced team.
About the Role
The SHEQ Advisor will support and advise on Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality across sites nationwide. The role involves ensuring compliance through inspections, audits, incident investigations, reporting, policy implementation, training development, supplier approvals, and supporting external audits.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.
* Investigate and record incidents/accidents, reporting trends and improvement actions.
* Support implementation of SHEQ policies, processes, and training content.
* Assist with supplier approvals and integrated management system maintenance.
* Manage documentation and contribute to external audit preparation.
* Advise on SHEQ areas such as fire safety, hazardous substances, and occupational risks.
* Support delivery of health & safety training programmes.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum NEBOSH Certificate (Construction preferred) or equivalent Level 3.
* At least 2 years’ experience in the construction industry.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Internal Auditor qualification.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* PTS trained / CSCS card.
* Previous SHEQ role experience.
* Experience conducting site inspections.
