Overview
As Rehabilitation Assistant you will work as part of a multi‑professional team in inpatient and community settings, providing safe and compassionate planned care to maximise recovery and rehabilitation potential.
Responsibilities
* Carry out programmes of rehabilitation set by therapists and the nursing team.
* Assist clinical staff carrying out clinical observations of patients on the inpatient unit.
* Support patients and participate in rehabilitation activities to promote recovery.
* Use a vehicle to undertake necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post (essential).
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both community and inpatient settings, carrying out designated duties competently and with initiative.
* Maintain excellent communication with patients to support and motivate participation in rehabilitation.
* Demonstrate reliability in time management and be motivated, flexible, with strong communication skills.
* Participate in training, education and clinical supervision to develop skills and reflect on practice.
* Work both as part of a team and independently in the community.
