Role Description
We are recruiting for a newly created role as a Finance Audit Coordinator to join our Finance function to ensure the timely and efficient implementation of external audit activities. The role reports to the Senior External Audit coordinator and will also have close interactions with the Financial Controller who reports into the Group Financial Controller.
This role could be a great opportunity for someone with a Finance background who perhaps wants to focus more on participating in the audit side of the Finance function, instead of BAU Finance work. Or perhaps someone who wishes to move into a finance role as part of a career move and is looking to get back into the insurance industry and create future career opportunities within a reputable global organisation!
You don’t necessary require prior audit experience, but it would be beneficial to have interacted with auditors in the recent past and to have experienced the issues that can arise between auditors and the Business. Understanding how a Finance function operates is desirable, you must be highly organised and have good co-ordination/ project management skills and be able to challenge and interact at all levels with confidence and credibility.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support the creation of audit plans, milestones, key delivery risks and accountabilities;
2. Assist the Senior External audit coordinator on the overall audit plans;
3. Work closely with External Audit firms to develop insight into the overall performance of the audit activities
and help resolve audit planning issues;
4. Help to update and maintain the framework for post audit reviews and support the creation of a
continuous improvement and learning culture within the whole audit process;
5. Monitor and assist the reporting on key audit deliverables, by the business, to ensure the
effective and efficient delivery of the external audit;
6. Maintain and improve the work started on a network of key business area audit contacts to
help to execute all audit activities;
7. Work with a range of stakeholders across the finance function and business to drive the timely
submission of audit deliverables;
8. Work with Finance executives to highlight challenges and support timely resolution of issues; and
9. Attend and support key audit touchpoint meetings.
Skills & Experience
10. Strong organisational and project coordinator competences
11. Strong communicator across all mediums
12. Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders to drive action
13. Ability to create a strong and effective network and relationships across multiple domains
14. Good analysis skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
15. Self-starter who can take the initiative and who is driven to meet overall deadlines and objectives
16. Previous experience working in an accounting/finance role or function
17. General insurance knowledge or experience beneficial
