Project Manager role:
* Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning, and delivery of contracts
* Your role will ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout
Project Manager responsibilities:
* Promote exceptional safety, quality, and delivery standards across both direct and subcontracted workforces
* Ensure the Business Management System (BMS) is fully implemented and adhered to throughout all project stages, from tender handover to final completion
* Build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels
* Uphold the company’s reputation by fostering positive relationships with joint venture partners and suppliers
* Ensure that all projects are supported by suitably trained personnel who are fully aware of their individual responsibilities
* Lead effective project planning, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and monitoring performance throughout delivery
* Oversee the preparation, approval, and implementation of construction plans and method statements prior to the start of any activity
* Ensure that, upon project completion, all documentation referenced in the PEP is fully complete and accessible
* Report all site non-conformities, identifying approximate costs and corrective actions.
* Manage all commercial aspects of projects proactively and accurately, including forecasting and cost estimation
* Demonstrate detailed knowledge and practical experience of project management from concept through to end-user acceptance
* Commit to continuous professional development through participation in networking, conferences, associations, and industry groups to stay current with sector innovations
* Perform additional duties, training, and working hours as reasonably required, consistent with the responsibilities of the role
* Apply and promote the company’s quality, safety, and environmental policies and objectives.
* Strive to meet and exceed customer expectations, enhancing their overall satisfaction and perception of the company
* Maintain a solid technical understanding of all disciplines involved in the delivery of water and wastewater design and build projects
Project Manager requirements:
* Proven project management experience delivering multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally in the water industry.
* Degree or equivalent in construction, engineering, or commercial discipline.
* Recognised Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and end users.
* Delivery-focused, with the ability to set targets and lead multi-disciplinary teams to meet time, cost, and quality goals.
* Proven project delivery experience.
* Strong strategic, operational, technical, and management skills.
* In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (ideally NEC and/or IChemE) with experience in negotiation and administration.
* Confident in leading and presenting at MWH Treatment Governance Reviews.
* Experienced in risk and opportunity management.
* Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction health and safety.
