Textiles Teacher Location: York, North Yorkshire Start Date: September 2025 Salary: MPS/UPS; £32,916 - £51,048 per annum GSL Education are looking for a passionate and creative Textiles Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School from September 2025 in York, North Yorkshire. Textiles Teacher Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Textiles, aligned with the national curriculum and examination board requirements. Deliver practical and theoretical lessons that nurture creativity, technical skills, and independence. Prepare students for GCSE coursework and practical assessments, ensuring high standards of achievement. Contribute to the development and enrichment of the Design & Technology curriculum, particularly within the Textiles specialism. Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and whole-school events as required. Textiles Teacher Requirements: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification. Experience teaching Textiles at secondary level, including GCSE (A-Level desirable). A degree in Textiles, Fashion, Design & Technology, or a related subject. Strong subject knowledge in fabric design, textiles techniques, and practical application. Enthusiasm for inspiring students and fostering a love for Textiles. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
