Start a Career That Truly Matters A specialist education and residential provision in Dorset is seeking enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join its growing team from September 2026, with flexibility for an earlier start where available. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with autism and additional learning needs within a creative, therapeutic and highly personalised learning environment. This role goes far beyond classroom support. Every day brings fresh experiences, rewarding moments and opportunities to help young people build confidence, communication skills and independence. Supporting sensory and creative learning activities Assisting during outdoor education and community visits Helping pupils develop life and social skills Encouraging emotional regulation and wellbeing Supporting personalised educational programmes Assisting with cooking, communication and independence tasks Creating positive relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood Outstanding Learning Environment The provision offers exceptional specialist facilities designed to support holistic development and engagement. Dedicated therapy and sensory spaces Outdoor learning and recreational areas Sports and wellbeing facilities Specialist educational resources Creative arts and enrichment environments Spaces designed to support emotional regulation and personal growth Staff work closely alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to ensure every pupil receives the encouragement and support they need to thrive. Who We Are Looking For Previous experience within SEND or care settings is welcomed but not essential, as full training and continuous support will be provided.
