Base71 Youth Zone is dedicated to young people and makes a bold statement about the importance of giving young people high quality places to go in their leisure time. Open 7 days a week including school holidays, the Youth Zone’s purpose is to help young people grow to be happy, healthy and successful adults. The state of the art £10 million building provides young people with facilities that are second to none delivering over twenty sporting, artistic, cultural and general recreational activities each session. Offering young people the opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and gain support from friendly, warm and positive staff and volunteers. As a Reception and Membership Assistant, you will play a vital role in front of house as you will be the first point of contact for Base71 Youth Zone members and any other visitors and guests to the Youth Zone. You will oversee the busy reception area, ensuring young people enter sessions smoothly and their attendance and payments are accurately recorded. You will also be responsible for processing new members, directing phone calls and enquiries, maintaining the membership database efficiently and carrying out regular communications. You’ll Also: Support growing the Youth Zone Membership, and supporting new members to sign up. Take ownership of the reception area and work with other staff and service leads to ensure the most efficient and effective customer service and reception duty. Ensure that any administration and paperwork is up to date and completed by the end of each session. Deal with telephone enquiries, take and relay messages, screen and direct calls.
