Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team for a new opening in Burton-in-Kendal. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
* Manage team dynamics, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing culinary skills and innovation.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Supervising experience is essential; team management skills are highly valued.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required.
* Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate kitchen staff.
