We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join a busy finance team on a temporary contract. This role involves supporting the department with day-to-day administrative functions while acting as a central point of contact for finance-related queries. As a key member of the central services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and coordination of finance processes, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. Key Requirements: Conscientious and accurate with excellent attention to detail Able to handle confidential information with professionalism Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently Strong organisational and communication skills Key Responsibilities Purchase Ledger Set up new suppliers within the accounting system, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor payment due dates to ensure they are within agreed terms. Maintain accurate references and descriptions within financial software. File documents electronically within finance systems. Reconcile purchase orders against invoices, ensuring correct approvals, and liaising with suppliers and internal staff where necessary. Resolve and report supplier queries or discrepancies promptly. Produce weekly payment runs in line with financial policy. Update and maintain internal accounting databases and spreadsheets. Sales Ledger Provide support with purchase orders and respond to queries relating to the sales ledger. Nominal Ledger Match daily bank postings to the appropriate ledgers. Reconcile and replenish petty cash across departments. Process expenses in accordance with financial policy. Manage monthly nominal ledger postings and controls. Assist in providing financial information to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
