Store Manager - Co-Op - Bournemouth
£35,000 per annum / 40 hours per week
We’re seeking a skilled Store Manager to join our retail team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
As a Store Manager, you will help deliver the store's purpose by guiding commercial and community strategies. You will lead your team to make shopping at Co-op a fantastic experience, supporting their growth and learning to demonstrate the positive impact Co-op has on local communities.
In This Role, You Can Expect To
1. Empower your team to deliver excellent service, promoting the Co-op difference to customers and members.
2. Build an inclusive culture where everyone feels comfortable sharing their views.
3. Develop your team through regular performance conversations to help them reach their potential.
4. Ensure the store is safe, compliant with legal standards, and operationally efficient.
5. Manage and optimise your store’s commercial performance, recruit new team members, and oversee HR responsibilities.
Skills
You should have experience in guiding and developing a team within a busy, service-focused environment. Good communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coach, motivate, and inspire your team. Additionally, you will need:
1. Resilience and strong problem-solving skills.
2. The ability to understand and analyse commercial information.
3. A willingness to support the team actively in store activities.
