Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker (Secondment)
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver a wide range of services including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
This is a fixed-term position for 9 months, supporting the District Nursing team in Renfrewshire HSCP. The role involves providing care to adults in the community, working collaboratively with the team, and supporting health improvement initiatives.
Shift Pattern
1. 5 days over 7, including weekends and public holidays
2. Shifts of 7.5 hours between 08:30 and 21:30
Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and evaluation of care programmes under supervision
* Assist in health promotion activities
* Work across a large geographical area, supporting patients in their homes
* Support the team to meet local competency and mandatory standards
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in a community setting is desirable
* Support for completing local competency frameworks and mandatory induction standards
