ROLE: Lead Engineer - North
LOCATION: Nottingham

We're looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead our design and engineering teams across a range of complex structural and telecoms infrastructure projects.
Role Responsibilities
1. Manage lead designers and engineering teams delivering Civils, Steel Frame, Piling & Concrete, Telecoms rooftop designs, Rip & Replace sites, Special Foundations, and end‑of‑life structural solutions.
2. Coordinate and support site attendance to survey structures and gather information required for structural calculations.
3. Ensure all project work is delivered within budget, meets deadlines, and complies fully with CDM Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
4. Oversee production of sketches, hand‑drawn concepts, and AutoCAD drawings to ensure outputs are technically accurate and fit for purpose.
5. Lead HR responsibilities including team inductions, appraisals, performance reviews, and probation management.
6. Provide leadership, guidance, and quality assurance across all engineering deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
7. BEng in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
8. Experience managing engineering teams and leading multi‑discipline technical delivery.
9. H&S training enabling safe attendance at site environments.
10. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions clearly.
12. Design flair and the ability to develop creative, practical engineering solutions for clients. #MISCH
