You’ll work closely with a diverse client base across multiple sectors, supporting them in reaching both business and personal goals. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, including supporting documentation and reconciliations
Assist in audit fieldwork, including systems documentation, substantive testing, and remote/on-site assignments
Draft corporation tax computations and basic personal tax returns in compliance with current legislation
Complete and submit VAT returns, ensuring HMRC compliance
Liaise with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide bookkeeping support as needed
Support planning and completion of audits, including risk assessments, sampling, and review processes
Provide guidance and support to junior team members during assignments
Effectively manage workloads and deadlines across multiple clients, maintaining excellent service standards
Requirements
ACA or ACCA part-qualified. AAT level 4 qualified candidates will also be considered.
Experience in audit and accounts preparation
Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Iris (preferred)
Strong analytical skills and a commercially aware mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Organised, self-motivated and able to manage projects from planning to completion
Driving license preferred due to office and client location
