Join a leading aerospace and defence organisation. We are seeking a Reliability and Obsolescence Engineer to support high-performance aerospace products, ensuring reliability, safety, and service excellence for military and defence platforms.
About the Role
As a Reliability Engineer, you will analyse product performance, identify reliability trends, and manage obsolescence across multiple programmes. Working closely with engineering and programme teams, you will use data-driven insights to improve processes, support future business planning, and deliver excellent customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
 - Deliver regular reliability and obsolescence reporting using data from multiple sources.
 - Conduct detailed analysis, including MTBF/MTBUR calculations, failure mode assessments, and trend identification.
 - Monitor product performance and implement early warning systems to mitigate risks and costs.
 - Standardise reliability analysis methods, tools, and reporting processes across the organisation.
 - Conduct product obsolescence reviews and provide technical recommendations.
 - Present reliability data and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
 - Support proposal development, cost estimation, and engineering planning.
 - Ensure compliance with relevant export/import regulations and organisational policies.
What You'll Bring:
 - Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in an Engineering or Scientific discipline.
 - Experience in reliability engineering, ideally within aerospace, aviation, or defence sectors.
 - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
 - Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex technical information clearly.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other analytical/reporting tools.
 - Customer-focused mindset and ability to drive improvements in efficiency.
Desirable Skills:
 - Knowledge of obsolescence management and forecasting techniques.
 - Experience supporting PBL (Performance-Based Logistics) contracts.
 - Familiarity with FRACAS, reliability modelling, or statistical analysis tools.
 - Awareness of project or programme management principles.

Additional Information
