About the role;
As the IT Manager (Internal Systems), you will be responsible for leading, managing, and continuously improving TSG's internal IT environment, ensuring our people experience the same exceptional service that we deliver to our customers. This role presents a unique challenge and opportunity as you will be managing IT for an organisation full of IT professionals who push technological boundaries daily.
You will shape and oversee our internal systems, cyber security, and AI strategy, ensuring TSG practices what we preach. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will influence key technology decisions that support our strategic goals. Acting as a crucial link between our internal teams and our customer‑facing functions, you will understand the needs of both our people and our 1,000+ IT manager customers, giving you unique insight into how TSG can stay ahead.
This is a North East based, hybrid role with an expectation to be in our Team Valley office 3 times per week.
What You'll Actually Do;
Manage our internal IT systems, cyber security, and AI infrastructure
Lead service delivery for our team with the same excellence our customers experience
Report directly to the CEO, influencing strategic technology decisions
Act as the bridge between our team's needs and our customer delivery insights
Champion our people whilst maintaining the high standards that define TSG
Navigate the unique challenge of supporting IT professionals who push boundaries daily
You'll Thrive Here If;
You're confident enough to hold your own with technical experts, but humble enough to learn from them
Service delivery and people experience genuinely excite you
You're open, straight-talking, and can handle direct feedback
Challenge energises rather than intimidates you
You see "voice of the customer" as a privilege, not a buzzword
The role probably isn't for you if;
You need to be the smartest person in the room
You see internal IT as "just keeping the lights on"
Direct feedback feels personal
You prefer process over people
