Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care and Substance Misuse team at HMP YOI Doncaster, a Category C & D prison located in Doncaster with a capacity of 1400 men. The role is central to the area and offers good transport links, parking, an on-site gym and a Professional Progression Group (PPG) pathway for career development opportunities.
Hours: Shifts vary and cover nights, days and weekends.
Salary: £23.00 per hour.

Main Duties
As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision: provide outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.

Qualifications
* Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
* Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
* Experience of working with opiate‑dependent patients.
* Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
* Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, evidence‑based practice and national standards.
Experience
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (not essential, ideal).
