Supporting your overall wellbeing with counselling, mental health support, life management, medical guidance, and helpful resources.
Olivia is our friendly virtual assistant, available to support you navigate through the application process 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether it's late at night or over the weekend, she's on hand to answer your questions, guide you through the application process, or help you find what you need.
Olivia can't make hiring decisions (those are made by human recruiters), but she helps ensure your recruitment journey is smooth and accessible anytime you need.
Olivia is designed to help streamline parts of the recruitment experience: answer common questions, guide candidates through application steps, arrange interviews and provide timely updates to help make the process smoother and easier to navigate.
Before we can employ you, we verify your eligibility to work in the UK & Ireland. Acceptable documents evidence your right to work can be found here. You’ll need to provide original documents such as a valid passport or a valid UK/Ireland visa (with a college letter listing term dates, where applicable). Only original documents will be accepted.
Eligibility and interview process
The interview is an absolutely vital part of our hiring process. Without it, we wouldn't get a proper picture of what kind of person you are and whether you'd be a great fit at McDonald's. The interview will normally involve questions around values and attitudes and will allow you to show why you're the right person for the job. For instance, we might ask for examples of times you've worked as part of a team and how you made a difference. We hire for qualities and potential, rather than just qualifications.
Prospects and culture
Our employees tend to stay with us. It's a fun, sociable and flexible place to work, with opportunities to progress into roles with more responsibility. For example, many restaurant managers and franchisees started as crew members. We are recognised as a leading employer, offering learning, qualifications, comprehensive benefits and flexible working arrangements, along with a clear career path.
