Overview

Job Title: Adults Clinical Psychologist

Location: Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area, Birmingham. The Clinical Team supports services across multiple sites within Walsall, Kings Norton and Walsall. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, overlapping with core school hours. Part-time hours may be considered. Permanent role (term time only or flexible around full-time contract can be discussed).

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (paid as £1,500 after one month and £1,500 after completing probation).
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, overlap with school hours. 37.5 hours per week, term-time flexibility discussed.

Overview note: Outcomes First Group is the leading provider of world-class education with several divisions and a focus on empowering pupils and adults in education and care settings. The role is to contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for adults supported by the services.


Responsibilities

* Join a multidisciplinary clinical team embedded in education services to maximise clinical outcomes for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties.
* Provide bespoke assessment and intervention plans; support MDT working and collaboration with Speech & Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy teams.
* Support service development and ensure quality assurance within the MDT and Clinical Governance structures.
* Contribute to developing an enhanced psychological therapy offer, including growth of apprentices, students and therapy assistants.
* Assist in developing empowering environments where adults flourish and participate in decisions affecting them; uphold safeguarding culture.
* Engage in CPD activities with a £2,000 training allowance after probation; supervise as appropriate; deliver training to different cohorts.


Essential Criteria

* HCPC registered
* Doctoral level degree in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to Doctorate introduction)
* Experience of effective multidisciplinary working and communicating with families/carers
* Experience across organisational levels (service development, group and individual work)
* Experience using assessment-planning-review models; ability to write coherent clinical records and reports
* Strong IT skills; ability to learn core computer programmes and platforms
* Ability to travel on company business; full driving licence and access to a car
* Commitment to organisation values; flexible working approach; safeguarding focus


Desirable

* Experience with specified client groups (neuro-diverse, SEMH) and settings (schools/residential care)
* Experience providing supervision to others
* Knowledge of legislation affecting clinical practice and management; post-qualification training in relevant topics
* Training in evidence-based interventions
