We're looking for a proactive and hands‑on Facilities Team Leader, based at our client in YATTON to oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance and smooth running of our site.
The site has a large car park, but is also accessible by public transport from both Weston-super-Mare and Bristol.
Location: Yatton
Hours: 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise and support the facilities team to ensure high standards of service delivery
* Plan and prioritise maintenance schedules, both reactive and preventative
* Carry out hands‑on maintenance tasks, including:
o Basic plumbing repairs (e.g. leaks, blockages, fixture replacements)
o General building maintenance (carpentry, painting, minor repairs)
* Support and oversee minor electrical works (e.g. replacing fittings, fault identification), ensuring compliance with safety regulations
* Coordinate and manage external contractors when required
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company policies
* Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance checks
* Monitor stock levels of tools, materials, and spare parts
* Act as the first point of contact for facilities‑related issues and emergencies
* Drive continuous improvement in facilities processes and standards
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a facilities, maintenance, or building services role
* Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
* Strong practical skills, particularly in:
o Basic plumbing (essential)
o Electrical knowledge (desirable, not necessarily qualified electrician level)
* Good understanding of health & safety regulations
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external contractors
* Flexible, hands‑on approach with a willingness to get involved
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g. plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance)
