Technical Motor Underwriter - Salary is Competitive
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Motor Underwriter to be part of the UK Commercial Solutions Team, operating at UK level supporting our trading teams to develop and implement solutions for our most complex cases and risk profiles,
This is a great role for someone with high levels of underwriting authority looking to further develop their knowledge and segment specialisms, maximising opportunities through development of market leading propositions & solutions for individual cases and blocks of business working closely with the Trading and Broker Performance Team.
A bit about the job:
1. Assist with the Underwriting Strategy, philosophy/principles, best practice & processes
2. Leads continual development of our open market propositions for commercial Mid-Market.
3. Develop & Leads strong Commercial Motor Underwriting capability across the trading teams
4. Ensure knowledge & insight into performance of the Mid Market Commercial Motor Segment which supports SME Planning & performance and links to the CUO Team
5. Ensure develop leading knowledge, capability and expertise across the Commercial Motor Sector.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
6. Experienced Commercial Motor Underwriter with high levels of underwriting authority, who is continually looking to develop and expand Underwriting Knowledge and Authority across Property and Liability Classes, to compliment Commercial Moor Underwriting Expertise
7. The ability to understanding of performance issues at Commercial Segment level for Mid-Market, Scheme & Small Commercial Business to direct action and identify opportunities /threats to underwriting performance.
8. Strong commercial business acumen to build and deliver business cases
9. Works collaboratively within a large, sophisticated organisation and proven leadership and mentoring ability
10. Good knowledge of risk management and how this can be utilised across the Commercial Motor Segment within Mid-Market

11. Salary is Competitive depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
