Job Overview
We are looking for registered Pharmacy Technicians who would be based at King George Hospital in Goodmayes.
Responsibilities
* Clinical ward-based duties, including counselling and transcribing.
* In-patient and out-patient dispensing.
* Assessment of patients’ own drugs and drug history taking.
* Discharge counselling.
* Carry out routine pharmaceutical duties in a professional manner and provide a high‑quality, patient‑oriented service both in dispensaries and on wards.
Training & Development
* Competence in the assessment of Patient’s Own Drugs.
* Competence in taking a medication history.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmacy Services.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Newly qualified technicians or those about to qualify will be considered.
* Must be hard‑working, accurate and have some experience of working in a UK hospital.
