Futureheads have partnered with a leading technology consultancy delivering cutting-edge digital transformation programmes for major public sector clients. Specialising in Microsoft 365 and AI-powered workplace solutions, they work on high-profile government initiatives that are reshaping how thousands of users work. They're looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the strategic rollout of M365 Copilot capabilities across a large-scale government deployment.
This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of AI adoption in the public sector, managing the delivery of Microsoft's most innovative productivity tools to 3,500+ users, while shaping future strategy for generative AI exploitation across one of the UK's largest government departments.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading end-to-end project delivery for M365 Copilot products and features across multiple workstreams
* Driving Copilot Chat exploitation strategies to maximize user adoption and value realisation
* Managing Discovery and rollout of Copilot Agents, exploring use cases and benefits for the organisation
* Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans that accurately reflect project status
* Identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations through appropriate channels
* Using data analytics to influence decisions and enable confident, evidence-based planning
* Collaborating with technical teams to understand interdependencies within the M365 environment
* Communicating progress and value to stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
* Managing both digital and non-digital dependencies to ensure timely delivery
* Acting as escalation point for vendor relationships and technical queries with Microsoft
* Optimising licence management processes and aligning with wider automation strategies
* Assessing and planning delivery of new generative AI features as they're released by Microsoft
* Supporting alignment with wider government initiatives and strategic recommendations
About you:
* Proven experience in digital project management roles, managing full project lifecycles
* Strong stakeholder management skills in complex environments, with ability to influence and build momentum
* Experience delivering projects within government or large public sector organisations (essential)
* Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges and identify opportunities to mitigate risks
* Expertise working with Microsoft 365 products and cloud-based collaboration tools
* Understanding of AI/generative AI technologies and their application in enterprise environments (preferred)
* Strong communication skills with ability to engage audiences at all organisational levels
* Excellent planning and organisational skills managing multiple concurrent deliverables
* Experience with vendor management and technical escalations
* Data-driven approach to decision making and progress reporting
* Agile or other project management methodology experience
* Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving technology landscapes
The details:
* Rate: Up to £467.50 per day (inside IR35)
* Location: Leeds, Newcastle, or London with hybrid working (up to 3 days per week in hub)
* Travel: Occasional travel to other hubs with £2k expenses allowance provided
* Clearance: Security clearance required (or willingness to undergo vetting)
