Elevation Recruitment Group is working with an FMCG company who are recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Team Leader to be based at their facility in Rotherham. Salary: c£52,000 – £55,000 Shifts: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off (6:00am – 6:00pm / 6:00pm – 6:00am) Overtime: Available at 1.5x rateThe Maintenance Team Leader will combine practical hand on involvement with leading a team.This role is ideal for someone ambitious, capable of managing a close-knit team that needs firm but fair direction, and looking to step into a future Maintenance Manager role. Responsibilities of the Miantenance Team Leader will include: Lead a team of multi disciplined engineers Oversee daily PPMs, reactive maintenance, and issue work orders Liaise with the Production Manager to align maintenance activity with production needs Carry out and delegate PPM tasks and respond to breakdowns efficiently Organise and conduct 1-2-1s, manage holidays, training, and development plans Keep accurate records and produce reports related to maintenance operations We are keen to speak with Maintenance Team Leader/Maintenace Supervisors with the following: Recognised technical qualification (electrical or mechanical) Proven experience in a supervisory/lead engineer/team leader role Background in manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments (not necessarily heavy industry) Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing a maintenance team An electrical bias is preferred, but strong mechanical candidates with solid electrical knowledge will be considered Someone assertive and confident enough to manage a long-standing team who need clear direction Ability to handle difficult conversations and team discipline tactfully and professionally.
