We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across the Teesside area, including Stockton and Middlesbrough.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential within a nurturing primary school environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children’s learning. This may include one-to-one support, small group interventions, and assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
* Work effectively as part of a classroom team, ensuring pupils are safe, supported, and engaged in learning
* Provide 1:1 support for children with SEND
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children
* Be enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable within the classroom
* Have experience supporting children with additional needs or barriers to learning (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, VI, HI)
* Promote and encourage independence, confidence, and personal development
Experience that would be beneficial:
* SEND Teaching Assistant roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
