Job Overview
The Community Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time HCA to join their team of professionals. The Adult Bladder and Bowel Health Care Assistant (HCA) will work as a member of the service to provide high quality and effective care to patients referred for the management of bladder and bowel issues.
Responsibilities
* Re‑assess patients receiving products from the Trust as delegated by nurses.
* Provide support for patients and carers.
* Conduct urinalysis and obtain urine specimens.
* Assist and advise in completing bladder charts (frequency and volume diaries).
* Record patient interactions and interventions and update them as agreed and instructed.
* Recommend products as agreed.
* Handle unpleasant conditions such as exposure to body fluids appropriately.
Qualifications
Any experienced Healthcare Assistant who is willing to train in the Bladder and Bowel Specialism will be considered.
