HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our well-established and busy builders merchants based in Swindon. This role is Monday to Friday, however some flexibility will be required due to work volumes.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30
Pay rate: £15.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties: As a Class 2 Hiab Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Delivering building materials to business and customer homes
* Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
* Using a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane in a safe and efficient manner
* Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
* Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills: To be successful as a Class 2 Hiab Driver, you will need:
* A valid grab HIAB licence
* A valid UK Category C licence, CPC card, and Digi card
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
* The ability to use a PDA (personal digital assistant)
* A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Desirable experience
* Previous commercial driving experience (beneficial but not essential)
* Previous multi-drop experience (beneficial but not essential)
Training: Training will be provided on your first day, with ongoing support throughout.
