Role Description
Role: Ingredients Process Centre Technician
As an Engineering Technician for a large soft drinks company, you will support the ingredients processing centre to produce syrup for the manufacture of dilute squash and carbonated products. Responsibilities include:
1. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Oversee daily operations, monitor equipment, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot to ensure efficient machinery performance.
2. Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure syrup quality meets standards through testing, process adjustments, and record-keeping.
3. Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering to develop and implement efficiency and quality enhancements.
4. Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, handle ingredients properly, and maintain clean work areas.
5. Collaboration: Coordinate with production, quality control, and supply chain departments.
6. Documentation: Record operations and maintenance activities, and generate reports using CMMS (SAP).
7. Technical Support: Provide guidance and support to team members.
8. Equipment Calibration: Regularly calibrate equipment for accuracy and performance.
9. Training: Train staff on basic maintenance and equipment understanding.
10. Food Safety Standards: Maintain product safety, legality, integrity, authenticity, and quality in compliance with policies.
Role Requirements
Required Qualifications:
1. Engineering recognized qualification, controls, PLC, and instrumentation experience desirable.
2. Proven experience in manufacturing or production roles.
3. Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
5. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
6. Good communication and teamwork skills.
7. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
