As a Trustee, your responsibilities will include:
* Provide strategic support to ensure objectives are delivered in line with the vision
* Ensure operational plans, budgets and resources support organisational goals & public benefit
* Maintain compliance with charity law, company law, governance requirements and organisational policies
* Oversee organisational performance, financial stability, risk management and safeguarding arrangements
* Represent and promote the reputation, values and stakeholder interests
* Ensure management of conflicts of interest and employment responsibilities
We’re looking for a Trustee with the following:
* Strong commitment to the charities mission, values and objectives
* Understand the trustee responsibilities, governance and decision making
* Strategic thinker with sound judgement, integrity & can challenge constructively
* Can work collaboratively, interpret performance info & contribute at board level
* Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, with time and dedication
* Experience in Digital & AI, HR & People Governance or Marketing & Communications is desirable
The Trustee schedule will look like:
* Attendance at a one-day induction programme and willingness to undertake further training if required
* Attendance at quarterly board meetings (currently Wednesdays, 5.30pm to 7.30pm)
* Preparation for meetings, including reading papers in advance
* Possible attendance at Audit Committee
* Attendance at one staff briefing per year
